Left behind when the herd moved to fresh pasture, this little newborn bison survived 3 days alone in the brush.
He had coyote bite marks on his tail, but somehow he made it.
After the neighbours spotted him, my brother-in-law managed to rope him and we brought him home. He’s safe here, bottle-fed, and already full of zoomies.
Now this tough little guy needs a name 👇🦬

Can you believe Bill rode shotgun in the back seat of my car? 🚙💨
Eight years ago, I brought him home in the back seat of my car. It was a 3-hour trip down the QE2. He spent the entire time grunting and glaring at me like an angry dog.
Thank goodness for tinted windows, or I’m sure I would have gotten pulled over and had some serious explaining to do! 🤫👮‍♂️
Today, he’s still my big buddy, learning to lead like an absolute champ.

Meet Bill. Training a bison isn’t exactly easy or safe. Things can go sideways in a hurry and you have to learn the trigger points. Even though Bill and I have been buds a long time… I still never take this lightly. 🦬
