It’s rumoured that Italian white wines will reign supreme in 2026 with Fiano leading the charge. Now, if you’re looking for Italian white wines we have the largest, most eclectic offering in Calgary. And our newest addition, Bellaria Fiano d’Avellino is a beautiful example of the power and depth of this variety.

Fiano is known for its texture and acidity. Bellaria delivers that in spades with golden apple, Meyer lemon, toasted hazelnut and a kiss of saline.

We’re slowly falling in love with the wines from and this Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc de Noir is absolutely delicious!

This saignée method rosé has just a hint of pink with a really luscious texture and notes of cranberry and citrus. Made from 18 year old vines, grown in the Ningxia region, 1300km west of Beijing, Cabernet Sauvignon has proven to grow very well in the Helan Mountain regions fertile soils.

If you’re looking for something new and fun to try this year, you’ll want to grab a bottle. $28.95 - available at and online.

We received six bottles of Masahiro Kaijin Jaoanese Whisky at The Wine Shop.

“Kaijin” translates to “seaman,” and the whisky pays homage to those who face the vast ocean—Okinawa’s symbolic force. A blend of grain and aged malt whiskies, Kaijin is light-bodied and youthful but with aromatic tropical notes.

This would look great on your bar cart or wrapped up under the tree this year!

These stunners from Australia are proof that good wine doesn’t need to break the bank. Their Viognier is round and soft white wine with juicy tropical fruit and white flowers. Great with curries or simply sipping alone.

The Shiraz Viognier is a beautiful expression of Aussie Shiraz with black berry, juicy plum, black pepper and a hint of mint. An excellent companion to braised meat dishes.
