We are delighted to announce our return to the "winter in the wild" event, in elkford, 14 and 15 of February.
Join us at the ice rink starting at 10.00 am,
To kick off your morning, with our delicious authentic poffertjes ( the Dutch mini pancakes) or a fresh Belgium waffle, or a stroop waffle perfectly paired with a hot cup of coffee.
We haven't forgotten our youngest guests: we have special treats waiting for the little ones!

In many other countries, “curry” usually means a spicy dish or sauce made with lots of herbs and spices, often from India or other parts of Asia.

But in the Netherlands, curry is something completely different.

Here, curry is a sweet, red-brown sauce/type of ketchup that comes in a bottle. People mostly eat it with fries, croquettes, or other fried snacks. It tastes a bit sweet, a bit sour.

It’s not a meal, just a sauce, like ketchup or mayonnaise.
If you say “curry” in the Netherlands, almost no one thinks of an Indian dish. People think of fries with curry sauce.

Edit: No, it's not a Dutch invention. But it's widely used here.
