👩🏻‍🍳😎 DONUT PANIC - BUT WE DID IT!!

For over 20 years, there has been one thing I’ve never been able to find as a celiac:

A real donut.

Not cake-like.
Not dense.
Not “good for gluten-free.”

A true yeast-raised donut that’s light, airy, pillowy, and practically melts in your mouth.I genuinely didn’t think this was possible. Until today🥹😭👏🏼 I do have to admit I cried.

Hot glazed.
Soft yeast dough.
That iconic Krispy Kreme-style bite.

100% gluten-free.

Then we took it one step further and made the donut of every 90s kid’s dreams… 🍩💖🌈

The Simpsons Donut.💖

Finished with pink icing and rainbow sprinkles, just like the one we’ve all wanted to grab through the TV screen.

This is exactly why Playhouse Treats exists.

To prove that gluten-free shouldn’t mean missing out.

To recreate the foods that become memories.

And to create those “I can’t believe this is gluten-free” moments.

🚨 SNEAK PEEK 🚨

This is it.

The future home of Playhouse Treats. ❤️

Today, we’re giving you your first look at the outside of our new dedicated gluten-free production facility in Northeast Calgary.

This space will be the heart of Playhouse Treats! Where we’ll bake, create, package, and dream up all the nostalgic gluten-free treats you’ve come to know us for. While there will be a small retail storefront and customer pick-up area, the majority of the space will be dedicated to production as we work to make safe, delicious gluten-free food available to our community.

📍 The official address will be announced July 1st.
🔨 Construction begins July 1st.
📅 Opening date is still to be determined.
✨ Progress updates will be shared every step of the way.

What started as a small home bakery has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined, and we’re so excited to finally start showing you what’s coming.

One More Chapter 📖🍪✨🎈

Our signature Chapter One chocolate chip cookie, reimagined in bite-sized form and piled high in a snackable bowl.

Soft in the centre, chewy around the edges, and packed with rich chocolate chips, these little cookies have a habit of disappearing one handful at a time.

TODAY A DREAM BECAME AN ADDRESS🏡🚧

Today, we signed the lease for the future home of Playhouse Treats and our very first commercial kitchen.

Starting July 1st, we’ll begin transforming a blank commercial space into a dedicated gluten-free kitchen and production facility built by a celiac and designed with one goal in mind: creating exceptional food in a space where safety, quality, and trust are never compromised.

What began as a small home bakery has grown into something I’ve dreamed about for a very long time.🥹

This space will feature a small retail storefront, but its heart will be a dedicated gluten-free commercial kitchen where we can expand production, develop new products, collaborate with other businesses, and create opportunities for gluten-free bakers to work in a safe, dedicated environment. Most importantly, it will allow us to make Playhouse Treats more accessible to our community while continuing to uphold the quality and integrity that got us here.

There is still a long road ahead. Construction, permits, equipment, inspections, and countless hours of work stand between today and opening day.

But today is a milestone we’ll never forget.

Today, the dream stopped being something we talked about and became something we’re building.

As we enter this next chapter, we’re going to need your support more than ever.

Before some very exciting things start happening behind the scenes… I’m taking a much needed vacation! ❤️

Playhouse Treats will be closed June 15th–30th.

That means if you’ve been thinking about stocking up on your favourite Dunkies, cookies, brownies, blondies, Puppy Chow, donuts, or nostalgic treats, now is the time!

📅 Order forms close June 8th at the end of the day
🚚 Final delivery date: June 13th

I’m honestly going to miss baking for you all while I’m away. Watching this little dream grow and seeing your messages, photos, reviews, and excitement every week has meant more than you know.

But this vacation is coming at the perfect time because when I get back…

We had such a fun time at our pop up at Miss P's Gluten-Free Ltd. last Saturday. And Guess what!
