It’s Saturday—and an end-of-summer Saturday means we’re off to another wedding! 💍🔥

Tonight, we’re serving 75 guests with passed appetizers followed by a full buffet dinner—and these smoked beef back ribs are on the menu.

Have a wonderful Saturday! The food truck will be back open Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Another jam-packed week at Smokebox! 🔥

We will be CLOSED WEDNESDAY for catering and will keep you posted as the week goes on.

Here’s what we have going on this week:

🔥 Tuesday: 100-guest dinner at Marked Paintball
🔥 Wednesday: 150-person lunch service in North Dundas
🔥 Friday: 250-person event in Smiths Falls, served across three separate time slots—including an overnight shift Plus multiple large pickup orders booked.
🔥 Saturday: Finishing the week with a 85 guest wedding in Merrickville!

Five hours of straight smoke, finished with our apple butter BBQ sauce.

Another massive weekend ahead: two large takeout orders, then we’re off to the Thousand Islands for a 90-guest plated dinner with passed apps and a late-night snack.

It’s all in the prep. 🔥

The food truck is CLOSED today — because this is what’s happening behind the scenes.

First up: 165 meals heading out loaded with smoked chicken, pulled pork & mac and cheese.

Then we’re off to Almonte for a 75-person wedding, bringing the full experience with passed apps and live action stations.

Two events. 240 guests. One busy Saturday.

Prep heavy. Smoke rolling. Let’s go. 🔥

Coolers stacked. Walk-in packed. Big weekend ahead. 🔥

Quick heads up — the food truck will be closing at 2:30 PM today as our team shifts gears into catering mode.

On deck:

💍 140-person wedding at Bleeks tonight

Then tomorrow we finish the weekend strong with:
🚚 165 person person catering drop-off in Richmond
💍 75-person wedding in Almonte

A whole lot of BBQ is leaving this little walk-in over the next 36 hours

🔥 WE’RE BACK 🔥

Summer break is over and the smokers are fired up!

The food truck is back in full swing this week — kicking things off with our Tuesday Burger Special 🍔

Then it’s straight into a BIG catering weekend:

🔥 Friday — 140-guest wedding + some large pickup orders
🔥 Saturday — 150-guest drop-off in Carp
🔥 Saturday — 75-guest wedding with passed canapés, action stations & full bar service

Because of Friday’s catering schedule, the food truck will be closing early at 2:30PM Friday.

☀️ Summer Break ☀️

This week, we’re taking a short break to spend some well-earned time with our families.

I’ll be cheering on my boys as they compete in the Ontario Lacrosse Provincial Championships, while other members of the Smokebox crew are away camping and visiting loved ones.

On Sunday, I needed to be in Toronto by noon for game one and our crew successfully catered two weddings at the exact same time—over 190 guests across two different venues. I didn’t receive a single phone call, text, or “we have a problem” message. They showed up, took care of our clients, and absolutely crushed it.

To Tony, Carly, Matt, Adam, and everyone who helped make those events happen: thank you. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together.

We’ll be back Tuesday, August 11, rested, recharged, and ready to fire the smokers back up.
