July at Handmade Haven is filling up with lots of creative fun! 🎨💜

I’ve put all of our upcoming children’s workshops into one easy-to-follow schedule. Each workshop is beginner-friendly, kept to a small group of five children, and designed for ages 6–12.

A few spots are still available for Pony Bead Keychains, and registration is now open for Perler Bead Creations, Rock Painting, and Pipe Cleaner Creations.

Workshops are $25 per child, with $5 off for returning patrons. A $10 deposit is required to reserve a spot and cover cost of supplies.

✨ NEW WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT! ✨

Our next Handmade Haven workshop will be:

🌈 Perler Bead Creations 🌈

Perler beads are small, colourful beads that are arranged on a pegboard to create a picture or design. Once each creation is finished, the beads are carefully fused together with heat so participants can take home their completed pieces.

During this beginner-friendly workshop, children will choose from a variety of fun patterns and create their own Perler bead designs. Options will include animals, sports, rainbows, flowers, hearts, video game-inspired creations and more.

This activity is a fun way to practice creativity, patience, pattern recognition and fine-motor skills while making something exciting to take home.

👧🧒 Ages 6–12
💜 $25 per child
✨ Returning patrons receive $5 off

Only 4 spots are available per workshop to keep the group small and supportive.

The workshop is led by a certified CBE elementary teacher and takes place in a pet-friendly home.

Handmade Haven's next new workshop is rolling out on Thursday, July 9 - Pony Bead Keychains!

This beginner-friendly, small group workshop is perfect for kids who love hands-on creating. We'll start by making a fish keychain together as a whole group, then kids will have the chance to choose a second simple keychain design to begin with the time remaining (materials and patterns will be sent home in the event they don't finish the second keychain).

Possible second designs include: watermelon, happy face, ladybug, cupcake, ice cream cone, gumball machine or penguin. Kids will also be sent home with the patterns to all of these so they can keep creating after the workshop!

Workshop Details:
Dates - Thursday, July 9 and Tuesday, July 14
Time - 6:00-7:30 pm
Location - Carstairs, Scarlett Ranch area
Ages - 6-12
Cost - $25 per child

Due to the success of Handmade Haven's first workshop, I'm excited to offer another Beginner Friendship Bracelet Workshop on Tuesday, July 7!

This workshop will focus on the beginner-friendly pattern: the candy stripe/diagonal friendship bracelet. Kids will learn the basic knotting techniques step-by-step and create their own bracelet with optional beaded accents.

This is a small group workshop designed to provide children a fun, creative summer activity where they can learn a new skill, meet some new friends and create something they feel proud of!

Workshop Details:

Time - 6:00-7:30
Location - Carstairs, Scarlett Ranch area
Ages - 6-12

I still have spots remaining in my first Classic Friendship Bracelet Workshop on Tuesday, June 30!

Kids will learn how to make their own embroidery-thread friendship bracelet with beaded accents. This is a great opportunity to beat summer boredom, learn a new creative skill, and make something they can feel proud of.

Workshop Details:
Date -Tuesday, June 30
Time - 6:00-7:30 pm
Location - Carstairs (Scarlett Ranch area)
Ages - 6-12
Cost - $25 per child
Class size: Up to 4 children
Supplies included
Boys and girls from ages 6-12 welcome!

A $10 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a spot, as supplies are prepared ahead of time. The remaining $15 can be paid the day of. E-transfer accepted.
