My AQHA mare Red has had the summer off. She got 3 sessions late June when she also had a rider lean on her for the first time. We brought her in last week, did a bit of ground work and she just had this look on her face "I am ready for this, let's go". This is the first time she has had a bit in her mouth, so we are not riding her with the rains, just the rope halter. She did everything asked of her. From coming from the field to this short video was all of half an hour! AQHA are smart, ridable and have a huge heart ❤

There comes a point in every little boy’s life when he has to start learning to live on his own. I start training foals at about 6 months to stay in their stall alone for a while. Mamma Feline was right there outside the stall to encourage Bugatti. He was more interested in accessing the hay box on his own, without having to push his mom to get to the box 🤣 next phase will be sharing a stall with his brother Bentley

Valiant Amazing Grace, 3 year old by Von und Zu out of my precious mare Grace. We have taken our time training Valiant from the ground, preparing him for his future career as a top level dressage horse.

Valiant is a clever boy with a sense of humor, he can seem so serious at times during training, then he does one of his silly gestures saying, "I am board, I know how to do this move, can we go onto the next step, please?".

Valiant lunges with the saddle and stirrups down flapping and moving, has been backed and now we are working again from the ground to teach him the cues of the bit.

Montana Amazing Grace, 4 year old mare by my adorable Grace, showed the strength of a damline made for dressage.

Montana was shown under rider for our Danish Warmblood inspection and received a RDH - meaning she is entered into the main stud book (a huge honor) with a proven ridden test.

I am so proud of Montana and look so much forward to seeing her with her new owner at the top dressage shows here in Canada.

A huge shout out to Zachary Marshall for doing an amazing job training Montana.

Every other year, Danish Warmblood do inspections of foals, mares, and stallions in the USA. This year, I was honored to be the first Canadian breeder of Danish Warmbloods to have the judges at my farm in Ontario, Canada.

All my horses behaved (almost) and all received very positive feedback with Red Ribbons all around (Red is the highest rank in Europe). My Bugatti foal also earned a premium title - and I am over the moon :-)

For me as a breeder, an inspection is about much more than ribbons, it is an opportunity for me to showcase my horses and receive feedback. I "inhaled" all the feedback from the judges and will use it to make sure I continue to produce top quality horses.

North American Danish Warmblood Association thank you for making the tour happen. Your support is very important to breeders like me.

Bugatti - Be Sure/Blue Hors Farrell - "sharing" breakfast with his lovely mamma Feline. It is clear to see who is in charge of that house 😂

The brothers Valiant (3 year old) and Veyron (2 year old) - Von und Zu/ Governor/Sandro Hit - come running when they are called in for their first day of school.

They are so eager and ready and such a delight to work with.

The lesson begins already at the gate, asking them to wait nicely until their halters are on and the gate is open.

Love their calm and eager minds and high trainability.
