Dirk's Leather Shop provides the best quality of custom made leatherwork plus a selection of exceptional hand made custom western craftwork from leather ornate mirrors to horseshoe clocks that will enhance your space with a western flair. Dirk Broeder, proprietor of Dirks Leathershop, is originally from Germany. Attracted by the Western lifestyle, he immigrated to Canada in 1997, and has worked as a wrangler on Guest Ranches for over 9 years. Living and working as a cowboy in his spare time and in the ranch lifestyle, he noticed plenty of poor workmanship with the gear that was used. This is when his passion for leatherwork began. Knowing the lifestyle and the necessity of good gear, he started repairing and making his own equipment. Always maintaining high quality plus truly putting his workmanship to the test on a daily basis, he let his leatherwork speak for itself. And it has... over time his workmanship has been recognized within the ranching community he resides. He has since decided to start his own business offering the same high quality workmanship at reasonable prices to his customers. The same high quality of leatherwork and craftmanship that he has created and used himself for years. Offering a range of services for the cowboy and ranch lifestyle, his passion for leatherwork has developed into saddle restoration, saddle maintenance (cleaning and and oiling of saddles), to custom made leather goods (saddle bags, gun scabbards, chaps) and leather craftwork such as leather art mirrors and frames. This is when his passion for leatherwork began. Knowing the lifestyle and the necessity of good gear, he started repairing and making his own equipment. Always maintaining high quality plus truly putting his workmanship to the test on a daily basis, he let his leatherwork speak for itself. And it has... over time his workmanship has been recognized within the ranching community he resides.
