Today, we take a moment to honour the Indigenous Peoples who have cared for and stewarded this land since time immemorial.

We feel incredibly fortunate to grow our grapes here in the Cowichan Valley, surrounded by the beauty of Vancouver Island. 🍇

This is more than beautiful land, it holds generations of history, culture, knowledge and connection. We are grateful to work on this land and have a responsibility to care for it, respect it, and continue learning.

With gratitude, we honour the Quw’utsun, Malahat, Tsawout, Tsartlip and Pauquachin Peoples, and all Indigenous Peoples whose traditional territories we call home. 🧡

TIME TO SWITCH OVER INTO FALL!

As summer fades into fall, we’re wrapping up an incredible harvest and switching gears to focus on what happens next, and that’s making the w**e for you! 🍇✨

We’ve truly loved spending the summer with all of you, from live music weekends and Art Walks to pottery nights, weddings, Arbutus Ridge Club events, and so many other special days in the vineyard. ❤️

Now, as the days get shorter and the weather starts to cool, we’re moving into our fall hours:

🍷 Friday–Sunday | 12–5 PM

And don’t worry… there’s still plenty of reason to come visit! Our cozy indoor seating and fireplace are ready for you, and we’ll have blankets for those who still want to enjoy the outdoors. 🔥🧣

🐾 DID YOU KNOW WE’RE DOG FRIENDLY? 🍷

We love our furry friends just as much as or maybe even more than our human friends! 🐶❤️

Dogs are welcome inside the tasting room and on our patios. We just ask that our four-legged guests are well behaved, on leash, don’t chew up the vines 🌿, and that you clean up after them.

We also have dog bowls available, just ask your server! 💧

So grab your best friend, leash up, and come enjoy a glass of w**e together. Because w**e tastes even better with your favourite pup by your side. 🐕🍷

HARVEST SEASON HAS BEGUN! 🍇 ✂️

We have some exciting news from the cellar… Ortega has arrived! 🎉🍇

Ortega is a bright, aromatic grape created from a crossing of Riesling × Madeleine Angevine and is well known here on Vancouver Island. We’re so excited to be working with this beautiful variety and can’t wait to see what this year’s harvest brings!

And this is just the beginning… 👀🍇 We have many more grapes to harvest and lots of exciting things happening in the cellar!

Some may say Christmas is the most magical time of year… but we might argue that harvest and production season takes the cake! ✨🍷

Storming the Castel is a rich, fortified red w**e with aromas of raspberry, black currant, baking spices, and a hint of vanilla. With 19.5% ABV and 9% residual sugar, it strikes a beautiful balance between intensity and elegance.
