Our first small harvest of cucumbers and zucchini is in!

That means Bread & Butter Pickles and Sweet Zucchini Relish are coming!

This year, Berry Patch Preserves has been so fortunate to connect with local growers, farmers and berry pickers who are helping us prepare for the fall markets. From rhubarb, bakeapples, strawberries and raspberries to cucumbers, zucchini, green tomatoes and blueberries, I’m amazed by the incredible local harvests we’re able to source from growers, farmers and berry pickers.

Beyond grateful to everyone who helps make Berry Patch Preserves possible.

FROM NEWFOUNDLAND TO GUATEMALA.

Plum season is almost here, and I couldn’t be more excited. Plums are one of Berry Patch Preserves’ customer favourites and will be making its return!

Plum Ginger Pepper Jelly will be back in the kitchen soon, handcrafted in small batches with the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and a hint of ginger.

Who’s looking forward to plum season? And what else should I make?

Berry Patch Preserves has been enjoying the start of another delicious preserving season with fresh rhubarb and strawberries!

I’m so grateful to friends and local growers who have shared their wonderful harvests. Their generosity and local availability has helped turn these fresh ingredients into some sweet and spicy favourites:

It’s hard to love rainy weekends when I only get a few precious days at the cabin. But after seeing the garden today, it’s clear just how much the rain has helped!

The first video was posted on July 7 this one is from August 1. What a difference a few weeks can make!

The tomatoes, jalapeños, hot yellow peppers, chili peppers, zucchini, and so much more are thriving. I can’t wait to turn this fresh garden harvest into your favourite Berry Patch Preserves products in the weeks ahead!
