Seems super early, but the first western red lilies have showed up! Then I remember it’s the middle of June 😳 Still pretty early for our area, but a beautiful and welcome site. And there may be skid marks on the road where I came to a screeching halt to hop out and take pictures 😂

Last big cow day of the year 🙌 The cows were ready and basically put themselves in the corrals before we got out. Sometimes we work smarter and it pays off with less work 😏 It doesn’t always happen that way, so when it does, we count it a blessing!

Our amazing crew rattled through 200+ pairs before dinner. Our crew really is the best 🥰 All our pairs are vaccinated for diseases known to be in our area, new cows are branded, and the herd checked over for any illnesses or injuries that need attention. They will graze in a new pasture adjacent to our home quarter for a bit before we move them to their summer pasture.

Thank you .livestock for purchasing Gauge’s 2023 4-H market steer at the District 33 Regional 4-H Show and Sale this past weekend. Thank you Alan and Aiden for taking time to come out and visit with the kids at achievement day and the show and sale.

We pulled Bullet out of the sale pen for G’s project animal as the trucks were rolling in to load last fall. Glad to finally send him your way!
