Last week, East Coast Wild Blueberry welcomed federal, provincial and territorial Ministers of Agriculture from across Canada.
The visit began with a tour of our frozen fruit processing facility, where we shared the history of ECWB, the work currently underway within our operation, and our plans for continued growth.
The ministers then joined us at Millen Farms to visit the wild blueberry, strawberry and rhubarb fields and see the agricultural foundation behind our business.
The visit provided an important opportunity to discuss the connection between Canadian farming and value-added food processing. We also discussed the importance of continued investment in domestic production, innovation and access to both domestic and international markets.
Thank you to the ministers and everyone involved in organizing the visit. We appreciated the opportunity to share our operation, our progress and our vision for the future.
