Please make sure the trees are safe!

You might want to think twice before you accept Christmas trees from friends and relatives as free goat feed.

We did this many years ago, and then one year we realized that the tree had been spray painted!

The limbs were the the same exact green as the needles!

Then it clicked that Christmas trees were never meant to be food for any animal, and unless they are labeled as organic, they have been sprayed with all sorts of chemicals that are not approved for use in animal food — especially NOT animals that are producing food for humans.

Today was one of "those" days, where no matter what you do....

Bo-Bo (aka Bocephus) my big best wether, suffered a life altering spinal injury. We dont know how, but despite our best efforts and all the love, we made the difficult decision to give him peace.

Bo you have no idea how much you will be missed.... not just by us, but the entire barn. I love you buddy. Rest in peace 💔

It has been an emotional and exhausting past few days as we made our trip east to deliver Janie Dear, the beautiful Miss Beatrix, Dee, Luna and her doeling Lilli, the brothers Grimm Molson and Miller and the very handsome Rudy to their new homes.

I left later than we had planned, but Thursday morning and made my first delivery much later than any of us would have liked Friday night. The next drop was Saturday afternoon and my trailer was empty... and there were tears and heartbreak seeing the trailer empty. 🥺😭💔

I loaded up a few goats from QC and then headed home. I will deliver those next week.

So after about 5210km, 60ish hrs behind the wheel, 3 wrong turns and 2 Google map blackouts I'm home safe and sound.
