In college, we worked on the boats ourselves.
The job was brutal. It started at 3 am, and ended when it was dark.
The pay was… decent.
But something never sat right with me:
“Why is the hardest job I’ve ever had the one that pays the least?”
The answer: middlemen.

By the time it hits the customer, the price is jacked up — and the guy who pulled it out of the ocean?
He gets scraps.
So I had a wild idea:
“What if we could ship lobster straight from the coast… inland?”
Other Lobstermen, my friends, everyone laughed.
"Too expensive."
"They’ll die."
"Impossible."
Then we graduated college — and tested it anyway.
We figured out how to keep a lobster alive for 2 full days.
We shipped our first box — 5 live lobsters to my dad’s buddy in Montana.
He called me smiling ear to ear.
“They all made it. I haven’t had lobster like that in YEARS.”
That was it. The proof we needed.
So we negotiated with carriers.
