The first of the egg orders headed out over the weekend. 🥚🌿

Counters overflowing with a spring abundance after what has felt like the longest winter (though don’t we say that every year).

A quiet rhythm of work returns: eggs gathered in the morning, washed at the sink, and laid out in rows like little treasures.

Then, tucked into cartons, tied with twine, and carried down the driveway...

A handmade bag for little sister, too. 🐝✨️

After finishing Wallace's, I couldn't not make one for Winslow! Soft greens and golden tones, stitched together just for her.

Now they're both ready for big summer adventures....

Happy Easter weekend 🌿🐇

Our eggs are already coloured, just as they come from the hens.
Rabbits of all kinds are tucked in every corner.
A quiet moment at the table before the day begins.

Before the baskets, the bustle and the noise.....
there is this.

An oldie… but still very accurate.

Pulled this one from the archives because it felt only fitting for what feels like our 100th winter. ❄️

Today marks the first day of spring…
though you wouldn’t quite know it if you stepped outside. ❄️

Around here, it starts quietly—
seeds on the table, muddy fingers, and a box of chicks. 🐣

I gathered a few of these early days into a little journal on the blog 🤍

A handmade bag for a big summer adventure. 🏕🧭✨

I finished this duffle for my oldest daughter to take on our trip this summer.
The fabric felt perfectly fitting for a girl who’s absolutely space-obsessed. 🚀

There’s something extra special about sewing something your kids will carry with them out into the world.

Now to decide… do I make one for her sister too?
(…we all know I already have the fabric 😅)

Tomato planting day. 🍅🌱

Every year we plant our tomatoes and mark the date so we can look back and compare seasons.

This year came with an extra little set of hands helping.
Messy work, muddy fingers, soil everywhere…

…and somehow it made it even sweeter.

Here’s hoping for a summer of sunshine, warm days, and baskets full of homegrown tomatoes!

Snow day on the farm today.

The buses were canceled.
The path we packed down all winter disappeared overnight.
The donkeys made sure we didn’t forget about them.

We went out.
We came back in.
And we sat.

I wrote about today if you’d like to read it. 🤍

These little Valentine’s are heading off to Wallace’s classroom this morning 🤍

Paper, yarn, and a quiet reminder that childhood can still be slow and handmade.

Happiest of birthdays to our Hank Son 🤍 🥳

Hank absolutely hates to see me coming with a party hat, but he’ll tolerate the shenanigans if a special treat is involved. A birthday waffle has become tradition around here, and year seven is no exception.

There may be a little more grey in the muzzle these days—but I am not one to judge.

Why does watching our pets age hurt the heart so much? They grow old far too quickly, yet somehow stay our babies forever, even if they're the size of a bear!

Now that all the gifts have been given, I can share a few of the holiday makes from this season.

A starry night table runner for my Mom. Pattern by

A handmade Christmas, start to finish.
