The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) is excited to announce the official launch of new water conservation rebates!💧

🌎 Rebates are available for soil improvements, smart irrigation technologies, and rainwater harvesting systems including rain barrels and cisterns. Open to all residential property owners in the CVRD electoral areas, member municipalities, and First Nations.

Eligible property owners can now apply for the following rebates:

💧Receive 50%, up to a maximum of $50 towards the purchase of a new rain barrel

💧Receive 50%, up to a maximum of $1000 towards the purchase of a new cistern

💧Receive 50%, up to a maximum of $450 towards the purchase of smart irrigation technology including: smart irrigation controller, rain sensor, and micro-drip systems

💧 Receive 50%, up to a maximum of $300 towards the purchase of top-quality soil, compost, or other organic mulch

🌎 By reducing your outdoor watering needs, improving the efficiency of your irrigation system, and improving the health of your soils, you can reduce your outdoor water use all while helping to conserve and protect our shared water resources.
