Exciting News for Temiskaming 4-H -- the return of the Dairy Project!! Inviting all youth aged 9 years to 21 years (as of Jan 1st, 2026) to come out and join the Temiskaming 4-H Dairy Project. 🚜🌱 Spring is a busy season in farm country! 🌱🚜

Farmers all around Temiskaming are hard at work planting crops, preparing fields, and caring for their animals during one of the busiest times of the year. You’ll likely see more tractors, wagons, and farm equipment traveling our local roads over the next few weeks.

We kindly ask everyone to:
🐄 Slow down around farm equipment
🐄 Be patient — large equipment moves slower and needs extra space
🐄 Avoid passing unless it is safe and legal
🐄 Watch for turning vehicles entering fields and laneways
🐄 Help keep our farmers, families, and community safe

A few extra minutes can make a big difference during the busy spring season. Thank you for supporting local agriculture and helping keep our rural roads safe for everyone! 💚

Checking in from a rainy weekend! 🌧️🥛
​The Temiskaming Dairy Producer Committee didn't let the weather slow us down. We snuck in some time over the last few days to gather for a productive committee meeting to make sure we’re all caught up and ready for a busy season ahead.
​📝 Here’s what was on the table:
​Looking Back: We recapped our time at the Earlton Farm Show. It was great to connect with the community and celebrate our local industry!
​Looking Forward: Planning is officially underway for the Fall Fair and several other local events. We’re working hard to ensure the dairy industry is well-represented.
​Stay tuned for more updates as these events get closer. We can’t wait to see you all out in the community!

While we were busy at the Farm Show, we made sure to get some chocolate milk over to the Get Active In Temiskaming Chocolate Run event that happened on the weekend! Great job everyone and we hope you enjoyed the best recovery drink there is!!

That’s a wrap on the Earlton Farm Show! 🥛✨
​We wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by the Milk Booth this weekend. From the familiar faces to the first-time visitors, seeing the community come together to support local dairy is what it’s all about.
​Whether you came by for a cold glass of milk, a quick chat, or just to say hi, you made our weekend. We’re already looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
