We went to remove the cow we lost in the back pasture and discovered a bowling ball lying nearby.
No scorch marks on the cow. No obvious explanation. Just a bowling ball in the middle of a pasture next to a dead cow.
Has anyone ever seen or heard of anything like this? We’d love to hear your theories because we’re completely stumped. 🤷‍♀️🎳🐄

Today was one of those days that reminds us just how unpredictable farm life can be.

We lost one of our cows after she was struck by lightning during the storm. It’s something you never expect and never want to experience.

When you raise livestock, they become more than just animals—they’re part of your daily life. You check on them every morning and every night, celebrate the new calves, worry when they’re sick, and do everything you can to keep them safe. But sometimes, Mother Nature has other plans. ⚡️⚡️⛈️

(It was the bosses idea to buy all these January calving heifers, so if you hear him complaining about it just remind him of that 😜)
