Spring has finally sprung! 🤩💜🤩💜

What a cold spring we have had!

It definitely wasn’t the greatest start to our growing season but we know it’s finally off to a good start when our oldest tree on property goes in bloom! 💜

Just absolutely stunning views on our ranch and I pinch myself every morning that I get to wake up on this absolutely magical property!

That was sooooo tempting! I mean look at these fluffy Speckle Park baby cows!!! 🐮

One day! One day we’ll have our own little Speckle Park babies!

Still working towards our dream! One step at a time!

Year two into ranching and we are so proud of how much we’ve achieved so far.

Good things happen to those who work endlessly and keep the dream alive!

Our gardens are in blooms and we get to start every morning saying hi to our chickens.

🖤🤍🩶The sound we had missed! Grazing cattle!

Have you ever just sat in a pasture to listen to grazing animals? The most therapeutic and soothing exercise for mindfulness!

So many things to be thankful!

Eeeekkk!!! What an amazing long weekend on the ranch!

We have missed having our Speckle Park cattle and we have looked forward to driving these to the ranch for months!

7 amazing Speckle Park cattle will now call Ground Up Ranch their home.

Of course, now we get to name them!

They unloaded like a breeze, trotting around their new paddock and then proceeded to munch on fresh grass.

They are settling in and getting used to their new environment.

We cannot wait ti send them on our pasture. Spring is finally here and things are finally growing.

More importantly, we cannot wait to get our second load home too!

I never thought I’d love my laying hens this much. They have become the best part of my day. 🥰

They get their daily treats and they love when we come see them.

The kids love collecting their eggs. I mean who wouldn’t want to do an egg hunt daily?

I’m obsessed with all the blue coloured eggs. They all vary and it is so cool!

About 15 out of our 20 ready to lay have started laying our dark brown and blue eggs. We also got 8 older chickens who lay the white eggs.

Our laying hens have been keeping us busy!

But boy to they bring us many smiles! 🥰

Favourite part of my day is bringing them their treats.

I just love to seeing their different personalities.

We have been constantly modifying their environment to maximize their comfort.

Happy Mother’s Day from us at Ground Up Ranch!

Definitely soaked it all in yesterday!

Hard to believe that my mother’s stunning flower gardens are now mine. An absolute dream come true!

A tad overwhelming for my non gardening self but they are truly beautiful! I will learn to love gardening…
or will I? 🙈

Definitely always was more into caring for animals than flowers.

Everyone who visits our ranch comments on how magical this place is… and it truly is!

Make the hard decisions!

Life brings them on your path and then life rewards you in the most amazing ways!

So proud of this team! They have worked so hard and it has been an absolute treat to see their growth.

I knew once they started leasing Gunther that they would be his forever family and I was at peace with that.

Their greatness was written in the stars! 🌟

So proud!!! 🥹

Follow our journey into ranching! That two was written in the stars but I never knew I would see those shine during my time on earth.

Life works in mysterious ways!

Our ladies are just living their best lives! We cannot wait to get them out on pasture but until then, we are making sure they have the best care not to mention get spoiled!
