We did a little bed prep yesterday. It's carrot season, and those 🥕 I grew 4 years ago come back every year x 1000. They're probably not the best cover crop, but good luck getting them not to grow back! This year they even sprouted in the holes on the slasher where the leaf matter builds up.

Springtime - time to shake your tail feathers!! King George was dancing away to Queen Lizzie and Kevin today. Peafowl are so curious - they follow me everywhere to make sure I don't get away with anything. This dance was as I got the frost cover out of the shed to cover the dahlia and zinnia seedlings tonight. It's supposed to get to 1 degree here - let's hope it doesn't drop below. Keep your fingers crossed!

Capital Region Farmers Market was a rain adventure today!! Thank you to the brave customers who came out to support the markets. For many of the stallholders (me included), we rely on the market for our income, so on days like today it makes me truly thankful our market community is so dedicated and supportive. Over the past few weeks I have been the recipient of some incredibly kind and generous help, and I wanted to publicly thank the people who have helped me. It's a struggle for small businesses at the moment, and our farm is still very young and lacking the infrastructure (and staff) that will make things easier with time. So a huge thank you to these amazing people who have lightened the load and put a smile on my face and warmth in my heart during some recent rough patches.

Claire - thank you for the incredibly generous gift of your homegrown dahlia seedlings after many of my dahlia 🌱 were destroyed by the sudden freezing temps. I can't find the words to describe how kind and generous you are.

Holly Local Seedlings | Canberra - thank you for growing my seeds out for me. You took the overwhelm and guilt and stress away.

Paige, Bron, Sharry & Mum - thank you for my birthday planting help. It was the best birthday present to have that off my to-do list. And mum, thanks for all the other help too!
