Parkland Poultry

Parkland Poultry Welcome to Parkland Poultry. Raising poultry for exhibition, pets and pure pleasure! Our farm is located in the southeastern Parkland area of Saskatchewan.

Some of our favorite breeds we specialize in are Mottled Houdan, Buff Laced Polish, Tolbunt Polish, Crèvecoeur and Sultan for their crested head feathers, beards, and docile personality. They make a wonderful addition to any backyard flock and will provide you with fresh eggs regularly. We are not a hatchery, but really enjoy hatching eggs. Unfortunately we are not able to keep every one and frequently have chicks of various ages and breeds to rehome. On occasion we will offer individual pullets and cockerels or pairs and trios after selecting the ones we retain for improving our lines. Hope you Like our page as much as we love our chickens!

We currently have hatching eggs available. As we’re limiting what we grow out this season, eggs will be offered through weekly auctions in the H.E.C.A. Facebook group.

This week’s posts include eggs from the following breeding pens: Buff Laced Polish, White Polish, White Crested Black and Blue Polish, Candy Corn and Gold Polish, and Crevecoeurs. Mottled Houdan and Tolbunt Polish hatching eggs should be available in a few weeks.

We also have chicks of various ages available from fertility testing over the past few months. Selection of pullets and hens will be offered privately before being listed in upcoming poultry auction sales.

If you’re interested in any of our breeds, feel free to reach out for details or follow our page and the H.E.C.A. group to stay up to date!

Hatching season is winding down. All of our breeding pens are now closed for the summer, and the last few fertile eggs from our Mottled Houdans, Crevecoeurs, and Buff Laced Polish have just hatched. We do have one more small hatch coming up with Tolbunt, White Crested Black, and our Candycorn project chicks—but availability will be very limited.

We’ll also have a selection of grow-outs and some breeder birds available as we begin to downsize. Stay tuned for availability updates, or feel free to DM for more info.

Another group of poults is ready to go, hatched over the past week. The parent flock is primarily blue in color, but due to mixed breeding—mainly Blue Slate and Beltsville White crosses—they’re producing a range of colors. Here’s a photo showing some of the grow-outs, along with a tom and one of the hens
