A heartfelt thank you to Drink Cartel for bringing their beautiful mobile beverage trailer to this year's Fort McMurray Wine Festival!

Carolina's stunning trailer added such a unique atmosphere to the evening, creating a welcoming gathering space that perfectly complemented the festival experience. It wasn't just a place to grab a drink, it became part of the event itself, giving guests another memorable reason to stop, connect, and enjoy the evening together. Drink Cartel specializes in bringing stylish mobile bar service to weddings, corporate events, and celebrations of all kinds, and they certainly elevated our festival.

Their generous donation of a co****le game gave guests another way to relax, laugh, and connect between tastings. Sometimes it's the simple touches that create the best memories, and it was wonderful seeing so many people gathered around for a friendly game.

Another heartfelt thank you goes to Danielle Fairweather for bringing something truly special to another year at the Fort McMurray Wine Festival.

Danielle’s live painting added an incredible creative element to the evening, giving guests the chance to watch a beautiful work of art come to life throughout the event. It is a wonderful reminder that great wine, great food, and great art all have one thing in common—they bring people together and create lasting memories.

As we settle down after the wine festival there are several individual thanks you's we would like to make, especially as the Fort McMurray Wine Festival continues to grow into the experience we envision every year.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Bear & Buffalo and the Thickwood Golf & Country Club.

This was our second year hosting the festival with you, and our third Wine Festival style event overall. Every year you continue to elevate the guest experience through exceptional food, seamless service, and incredible attention to detail. From the moment planning begins until the last glass is poured, your team is there ensuring everything runs flawlessly.

A very special thank you to Food & Beverage Manager Steve Niehaus, and Front of House Manager Kelsey Babij . Your professionalism, experience, flexibility, and countless hours behind the scenes make an enormous difference. Events like this are only successful because of people who genuinely care, and the two of you consistently go above and beyond.

To every member of the kitchen, service, bar, and events teams—thank you for your hard work and hospitality. We know our guests notice the difference, and so do we.

We're incredibly proud to partner with such an outstanding team and can't wait to do it all again next year. 🥂

Well, Fort McMurray, you did it again!

We are incredibly grateful for your support of the 3rd Annual Fort McMurray Wine Festival. What began as a fun project between two wine lovers has grown into one of the community’s most anticipated social events, with more than 400 fellow wine enthusiasts joining us this year.

As always, its is our local vendors who really helped liven the experience including:

Beautiful artistry of Danielle Fairweather,
Co****le game provided by YMM Backyard Rentals

We had the support of over 10 wine agencies, 5 of whom had representatives on site to give you more in depth knowledge of their wines. Local representatives include the exceptional Allison Gauthier of Sipping Pretty, and Nick Greenham of Tasting Perfection (we highly encourage you to follow them and watch for more great wine events locally)! We also had Cam and Mandy Maccorquodale of South by South Wine wine importers showcasing local favourite Dirty Laundry Vineyards, Eric Weiss of Renaissance Wine Merchants, and Misun Bu of Dream Wines.

Because of these great vendors, and several more who still supported and use a taster, there were over 50 wines to try from around the world, much of which is not otherwise available locally.

But our very biggest thank you goes to our attendees.

YOU ARE THE REASON THIS EVENT EXISTS.

Your enthusiasm, curiosity, and passion for discovering new wines are what bring the festival to life year after year.

From all of us at Cass&Nat Event Planning, the Bear & Buffalo, and Outpost - Fine Wine Spirits Beer, thank you for spending your evening with us, supporting local events, and helping us create something truly special for our community.

In an effort to keep this event a quality experience for our guests we have made the decision to close ticket sales. Thank you so much to everyone who has purchased, shared, and is excited to come - we want to make sure the wine continues to flow and the food is hot for those attending. Cass&Nat Event Planning and I (Outpost - Fine Wine Spirits Beer) are so grateful for the support and have seen a 100 ticket increase in just 7 days. We have over 400 wine lovers coming out and we will be sure to look at expansion options for next year.

We appreciate that this is disappointing for many and hope you will follow our page to see updates for tickets to the 2nd Annual Winter Wine Social, and Early bird ticket sales for the 4th Annual Wine Festival in 2027.

I am so excited to welcome Allison of Sippin' Pretty as she tastes through the beautiful fare of Wild Rose Country Wines! I've tasted the Guidotti myself and it not only over delivers, it will certainly be staying on the shelf even if you drink it all on Saturday.

We welcome back PURE Global Imports with a new line-up including two wines in support of the Wilder Institute - Founded in 1929, it is a not-for-profit charity in Alberta dedicated to protecting endangered species and ecosystems globally while serving as a major family attraction through the Calgary Zoo.
