That’s a wrap on our pasture-raised chickens for the season!

We officially sold out, and we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us, ordered chickens, shared our posts, told a friend, or simply followed along this season. It truly means more than you know.

These chickens spent their days out on pasture from start to finish, foraging, scratching, pecking and doing what chickens do best. They’re supplemented with grain, but ours is corn, soy and canola free, and we raise them as naturally as we can.

Just look at that beautiful yellow fat. That colour comes from all the foraging and time spent out on the grass and we promise, you can taste the difference.

There’s something pretty special about knowing where your food comes from and being able to raise it the way we believe it should be raised.

Thank you for choosing Homegrown Hills and for helping us make this little farm dream a reality. We’re looking forward to next season!

Just one week makes such a difference! 🌱🐥 Our pasture chickens are feathering out beautifully and absolutely loving the fresh grass and sunshine.

We still have a few available that can be reserved now by deposit on our online store!

Mat doesn’t always make it out to the farm since he’s busy running Stefcon Mechanical, so most days it’s me holding things down here and I’m totally okay with that.

But when he does show up… it’s go-time, a little chaos, and never a dull moment!
He’s always ready to jump in and help, just maybe not the “textbook" way, and since he’s my best friend and makes me laugh daily… I figured I’d share his unfiltered self with you too.

Another freezer restocked with Homegrown Hills beef 🤍
Raised the way nature intended, right here on our farm — and it shows in every cut.
Grab it while it lasts… our next beef harvest won’t be until late fall.

Pork is heading in for harvest tomorrow 🙌 which means fresh pork will be available soon — stay tuned for some new items we’ve been working on.

We’re also thinking about putting together a camping box 🔥 Hamburgers, smokies, steaks, pork chops
