I’ve caught quite a few 18” + bass this summer. These were some nice ones from the past few days. My PB is 19.5… I’m still looking for that 20 incher. 🤞

The walleye fishing has been excellent- but it’s these big bass that get my heart pumping! This week was a mix of cool weather, rainbows, perpetual wet dog, more rainbows and even bigger bass!

If you know me, you know that I hate these slimy, toothy, lure stealing, snot rockets… It was a not so brave catch and sloppy release of a Northern Pike (aka Jack). I’m quite sure this is my PB and second biggest I’ve seen in this lake. As you can tell I’m still learning! I’ve never claimed to be an expert - but each day on the water, skill and confidence builds! Get out there and have fun (or whatever this was) 😝 you’ll have great stories to tell!

It was a magical morning on the water. One where a fish was caught on nearly every cast. This beautiful 18.5” bass was the highlight. One more week of work and then a full slate of fishing days ahead!

I’m “almost” back…

The boat is in the water. A few open water fish were caught… but this little camper is taking up some time and energy. I’m also still on the teaching clock for a few more weeks.
