π¬οΈπ³ What a wild night on the farm!
The wicked wind that blew through last night left us quite the surprise this morning.
A large tree came down right in the bird area, somehow missing 69 out of our 70 farm birds, the coops, pools, shelters, and fencing.
We are incredibly thankful that the damage wasn't worse and that everyone is safe.
Unfortunately, one of our birds wasn't as lucky, and has suffered a broken leg. We're not sure she'll make it but we also don't want her to suffer π
Now comes the big cleanup!
Branches, leaves, and debris are scattered everywhere, and it's going to take some time and hard work to get everything back in order.
Farming certainly keeps us on our toes, and Mother Nature always has a way of reminding us who's in charge.
We're counting our blessings today, grateful for the safety of our animals and thankful that buildings and shelters were spared.
Here's to chainsaws, wheelbarrows, and lots of coffee! βπ³π
