Yes, I did single handedly cause the outage on our site this afternoon.🙄
No, I did not notice for 3 hours.

I can't believe I have to write this, and I really debated about putting a post up about this but man this sucks.

A bit of 'behind the scenes'.

When we get our packaging machine calibrated at the beginning of the day, for the energy gels, we have to prime the pump. We always have about 10-20 gels that are underfilled while we are priming. These 'priming' gels get separated out and we mark them with sharpie. They then go in a separate box.

The gels from priming the pump cannot be sold of course, but we figured why throw them out! They're perfectly good as long as someone knows they're underfilled. Donate them! From Pollinator Pastures to our eco friendly packing, to these donations we try to reduce waste and do the right thing.

We decided to donate these to a local food bank rather than throw them out. They knew they were underfilled, that's why they were being donated. The honey is perfectly good, there's just a few grams less per pouch.

Well, no good deed goes unpunished. Seemingly someone has gotten a few of these and has gone to Google to give us a 2 star review, saying that we shorted them and they were underfilled.

That review will live forever on Google, with no context, suggesting we are shorting our customers, when we go to great lengths to ensure we are within spec and even err on the side of giving too much. We do quality control checks every few minutes!

My only hope is that future customers see all of the reviews across all platforms and they understand there is more to this story.

That doesn't help our average star rating though.

We don't have thousands of Google or FB reviews like we do at Reviews.io, so this review is actually front and center on Google. Kind of makes me wish I'd been asking customers for Google and FB reviews this whole time.

I was barely out the door and I could see it from the house…something was hanging from the rear view mirror…what the heck was it?
Then I remembered my son asked me yesterday if I’d driven the car lately…what the heck IS that thing? LOL

Apparently my wife found it on Temu and my son went all Mission Impossible getting it into the car when I wasn’t looking. Then waited two days for me to find it. 😂

This skit follows me everywhere I go! Hahaha but it smells nice! lol

In case you missed it our coffee maker broke 😢 so while we wait for the new drip maker…we’re savouring a slower coffee. One that’s not brewed while you sleep. 😴 Yesterday was the percolator, and today is the French press. ☕️🤤

Our coffee maker broke yesterday 😢 so I unpacked this guy from the camping gear. He’s never failed me. Just need fire, coffee beans and water. 🥰 no screens, no buttons. Just works. ❤️
