Tastes amazing—try it black! Full of anti-oxidants and good for you. Rebel Elixir? On December 16th, 1773, a great moment happened for coffee; the Boston Tea Party. Shortly after this act of rebellion, sympathetic Colonists and British subjects showed their support by refusing tea and drinking coffee. High society scoffed as coffee was the drink of the college intellectuals and trouble makers. You can almost hear the rebels with a wink and a smile saying "we know". Years after the American Revolution, coffee became the choice of rebels again as Canadians demanding representative government began to openly drink their coffee to show their temper. These Canadians paved the way for Canada to become what it is today so sit back and show your status with coffee, the Rebel Elixir! Our fresh roasted coffee beans are available in Haliburton at Foodland. Wintergreen Maple Syrup and Pankcake Barn between Gelert and Lochlin serves our coffee and sell our beans. What is fresh? Recently roasted—within a month or so of the roast date (stamped on front). Grind your beans right before brewing. Use hot water just under boiling temperature. We will deliver coffee and provide a free grinder and brewer to your workplace! We will supply coffee to your event!

We are pivoting our café caravan closing plans due to the impact of the fencing, road work and no parking on our side of the street.

Come one, come all for one last hoorah! It has been our extreme pleasure serving you in Hali Village this summer!

You will be able to pick up beans anytime at Haliburton Foodland, and can order pounds online for our weekly pick up on Thursdays at Killara Farm shop.

The henna artist will join us again to close out the season for a pop up pwyc by donation henna event.

We are so pleased with the “wow” reaction when people taste our coffee, and the success of our new little cafe caravan espresso bar et al…fresh locally roasted beans and all sorts of yummy concoctions…It’s been a wonderful season!

Thank you for coming by, buying your fresh beans and bevvy’s, and for sending your friends too!

We will be open this weekend and for two more weekends during the Studio Tour

One of my favourite cups of coffee all year is early with the first risers at Places for People sleeping in cars fundraiser. For a few years now Rebel Elixir has been brewing at 5 am to serve a warm cup around the fire after walking the talk with fellow advocates
