Tonia Jahshan founded Steeped Tea, now Sipology, with a powerful idea: a single sip can change your life. After suffering a painful miscarriage, Tonia traveled to Nova Scotia for a pause. While there, she had her first ever cup of loose-leaf Earl Grey de la Crème tea, and for the first time in weeks, things felt be
tter. She loved everything about it: the smell, the appearance, and the taste! She had to share, not only the wonderful tea, but how it made her feel. She developed the idea for Sipology, and in 2007, our first Sipologist joined. As Tonia’s family grew, the business did as well, exploring other sippable products to replace unhealthy habits. In 2012, Tonia, joined by husband Hatem, pitched the business on Dragons’ Den (the Canadian version of Shark Tank). After an exciting bidding war, Tonia and Hatem accepted a generous offer from Dragons Jim Treliving and David Chilton, and the business skyrocketed to new heights! Founded on the mission of sharing well-being, one sip at a time, we’ve been joined by tens of thousands of Sipologists to become one of North America’s fastest-growing social selling companies.
