Icelandic Landrace...the chicken of the vikings. Bred to be survivors, through cold, predation and famine through survival of the fittest. Our flock originates from the preservation imports into the US, with documentation. This is no regular backyard flock. Their survival instincts are apparent on hatch day. They are swift, agile and intelligent (for chickens đŸ˜…) they are reliable layers with excellent 95+% hatch rates. Medium white eggs. We are taking reservations.

Qaib Hmoob, or Vietnamese Hmong Landrace chicken. This bird is a cult favorite. Gorgeous undead appearance, these fibromelanistic birds have black skin, meat, bones and inner organs. The Hmong tribe believed their meat to have health and healing powers after childbirth. They lay 200 peachy cream medium sized eggs per year. They are easy to handle, are versatile and do well in cages or free ranging.
They are very good mothers if you let them hatch eggs. My favorite quality of these birds if that they take exceptionally good care of their nests...their eggs are always clean even when It's rainy and muddy!

This landrace has a variety of color patterns but I have selected birds since 2023 to produce darker patterned feathers and the blackest of combs. They keep getting more beautiful every year.

Westfalischer Totleger...the stunning German Gold Deathlayer. This is a very rare and very old heritage breed of chicken. This is a fantastic breed that does not slow their laying with age. They lay approximately 220 large white eggs per year, until the day they die.

They originated in Germany more than 400 years ago. They were first imported to North America in 2018 By Greenfire Farms in Florida. Our stock is traceable directly from Greenfire, and we have been working to improve the breed since 2023.

These birds are excellent free rangers, flighty by nature, and not broody. Their chicks and grow outs are fragile and need careful shelter from rain and cold. Once grown, they are very hardy birds and will be a rewarding project and source of food for your family for many years to come.
