I waited 4 years for this 😍😍

I have been putting this off for weeks...

Shortly after getting my peach tree home and planted I was contacted by email from the seller explaining stone fruit trees benefit from an aggressive pruning after planting. I have never owned a peach tree. I have never pruned a fruit tree, all my trees are babies. I have looked at them and contemplated pruning. I knew that it would help them bush out and that it would keep the fruit low and still, with that knowledge, I have a very difficult time committing to cutting the tops off my trees.

So, this is my first experience ever pruning a tree. I do not claim to know what I'm doing. I have never been shown what to do. I'm following directions outlined in an email that didn't exactly translate to the tree that I am attempting to prune and so, I'm unsure if I took enough branches, I'm unsure if I cut them too far or not enough but either way it was a good learning experience and I thought I could benefit from other people's input so moving forwards I may do better.

Thank you for being kind ✌️

I feel like such a rebel this year. Planting potatoes is April! I mean what's really the worst that could happen? There's lots of time to replant :)

My potatoes have sprouted so I cut em up into smaller pieces for planting. Not only do you get more plants and more plants = more potatoes but it also minimizes the rot risk.

This year I am trying to plant things out asap and potatoes are a crop that you can plant out before your last frost date (although this is my first year trying) I am pretty hopeful we will be having an early spring and so these went in ground yesterday. Ive read you dont *have* to wait for them to scab but I did just to be safe.

It's been so long and now spring is here, the 🌞 is out and things are growing! 🌱
I am so excited for this years garden! I spent many fall days building beds. I have a necessary rule that I cannot buy plants unless I know where they are going to go (too many casualties), and now I have tons of new spaces to fill! I love watching how the garden evolves, so here is my early spring tour. I hope to get some cool weather crops in soon. Ive never planted anything this early before, but I think the state of
the world is a good excuse to experiment with succession planting and see just how much we can grow!
