These are just a "few" of the many tasty items we currently have in stock at our online store at www.cincottfarms.com
Choose from over 20 different flavors of pickles and pickled things, to a varied selection of charcuterie jellies and jams, and even a few whole grain mustards and dry goods! Made on farm, in small batches, with minimum sugar (some with none at all), and every product is made with either all natural, chemical and pesticide free produce from our farm, or certified organic ingredients from our suppliers. From farm to jar, we believe you can taste the difference. Now, to answer a few of the inquiries we've been receiving this past week...Yes we do ship within Canada, yes you can still call us to place an order, and then we can arrange to deliver to either Fernie or Sparwood, and yes, the blueberry BBQ sauce is the same sauce we created and served to customers at the steakhouse for over 14 years.

Well, It's finally up and running! And just in time for the holiday season too! So make sure to head on over to our online store at www.cincottfarms.com to see what we have to offer. From pickles and pickled things, to jams, jellies and condiments, it's what we like to call...from "farm to jar".

We are way overdue for a farm update...
Cindey finished up the season at the Baynes Lake market today (Saturday)...and with all the stellar late summer weather we've been receiving, we still have a large amount of produce available.

Rainbow carrots...$4.00/large bunch (bulk orders by request)
Orange "Danvers" carrots...$4.00/large bunch (bulk orders by request)
Zucchini (3 varieties)...3 for $5.00
Spaghetti squash...$2.00/lb
Heirloom tomatoes (30+ varieties)...$4.49/lb
Heirloom cherry tomatoes (6 varieties)...$7.00/lb
Cucumber... Soyu Longs (they can reach 36" in length)...most of ours are 16"-24" in length...$5.00/ea
Fresh dill and seed heads for canning...$3.00/large bunch
And now for what we hoped to have available, but don't/won't...
U-pick shelling peas...mother nature threw us a curve ball. With the minimal moisture (on a non irrigated acre) that we received this past month, they went into severe distress, formed little tiny wee pods...and then proceeded to dry up fast. Always next season.
Beets...the greens of nearly every single plant went to feed a lovely herd of elk and mother deer and her two fawns...and as a bonus, they trampled the entire 50' x 90' patch. Thanks for the free fertilizer though...there's always next season.
Snow and Snap peas...we had 3 great harvests from the 200' row. We have now come to the conclusion that elk and deer (and their kids), are dicks! Venison anyone? All kidding aside, there will always be next season. Our wildlife fencing has finally arrived and we're hoping to install it later this fall or early next spring...that will "surely" keep them out right? lol...

Anyway, Cindey and myself can't believe how fast this growing season is flying by. It seems like just last week we sold the restaurant, shedded our chef coats, put on the "grubbies", and got dirty seeding and planting. All in all, Its been a great summer! Now, besides growing and selling a lot of our tasty produce, we have been discreetly putting on those same chef coats (okay, a bit different), and coming up with recipes for canning some of it as well. Currently, we have come up with over 15 flavors of pickles, condiments, and jellies & jams...and are just in the process of adding them (as well as an online storefront) to our website at www.cincottfarms.com
This should be up and running by the end of September, so please keep an eye out for that. Almost lastly...Cindey will be attending a few more farmers and fall markets, we will post those dates and locations when we are confirmed. And lastly, whew! We'd like to sincerely thank everyone for the continued support. If you'd like some produce, as always, give Cindey a call at 250 423-0551. Hope everyone is having a great long weekend!

Hello, everyone! It's been a while since we last posted...but after selling the restaurant this past April, Cindey and myself have been keeping pretty busy. Although May and June went by in the blink of an eye, all our hard work has started to pay off with the farm and greenhouses filling out nicely. For those of you inquiring, we unfortunately did not have enough time to organize a CSA this year; instead, we will be hosting a U-Pick pea (sugar snaps) trial from mid-July to whenever we run out, as well as offering a number of other freshly harvested vegetables, heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, and culinary herbs as they become available. Please check our socials for updates and product availability.

We currently have ten varieties of basils available to harvest (Ajaka is the early favorite), as well as some lovely French Tarragon, Rosemary, Lemon Thyme, Lemon Balm, and for those really hot days...a wicked mojito mix combo of both chocolate and orange mints. For veggies, the four varieties of zucchini's planted are just starting to produce in numbers, and the cucumbers (five varieties) will not be far behind. As for our famous heirloom tomatoes, because we had a late start seeding these, they are unfortunately going to be a few more weeks out. When ready to harvest, there will be thirty-eight different varieties of shapes, sizes, and amazing flavors to choose from. The smaller cherry varieties should be available starting late July.

If you are unfamiliar with our name and our farming practices, we are a former certified organic farm and nursery located in Hosmer, near Fernie, BC. We are non-GMO, chemical and pesticide free, use only open pollinated seed, and basically grow everything the same way we always have. If you'd like more information, feel free to give us a follow, a message, or a phone call.
