No smoky grilled chicken.
No sticky rice in your hands this Sunday.

The Pengrove Market is taking a pause this week — which means our grill is, reluctantly, taking a nap too.

But don’t worry — this is just a short break. The grill will be back, the smoke will be back, and yes… your favourite dipping sauce will be ready for you again very soon.

Until then, take care of those cravings… or let them build up a little. We promise it’ll be worth the wait 😉

Thai grilled pork is not BBQ with sauce on top.

It’s marinated slowly with garlic, pepper and soy sauce… then grilled until smoky and caramelized.

Served with sticky rice. Dipped.

I said Pad Thai wasn’t going to be on the menu.
I really did.

But then the requests came in…
and well…
🎶 “Be careful what you wish for... ’Cause you just might get it” 🎶

So here I am this afternoon, stirring a pot of fresh Pad Thai sauce from scratch — tamarind, palm sugar, fish sauce, and a lot of tasting (for quality control, obviously).

This isn’t a bottle situation.
This is a slow-stir, balance-the-flavours, trust-your-tongue kind of Pad Thai.
