🐷 Sides of pork available now 🐷

Hope everyone is surviving the heat wave! Perfect time to do some grilling outside!

Have 2 sides of pork available for delivery next week. $6.50 per pound based off the hanging weight including all processing costs plus ham and bacon curing.

The sides are from 2 different pigs. Hanging weights of 93 pounds and 110 pounds. So will be $600 or $700 depends on what side you’re wanting.

Mix of chops, steaks, hams, roasts, bacon, ribs and ground pork.

🐷 I’ve made up 3 sample pork packs and they are available immediately! 🐷

It is about 1/4 of a whole pig so if you were looking for a half or a whole in the future it would be 2-4 times as much meat and would also include some pork fat and some riblets.

1 bone in ham
1 ham nugget
8 packs ground pork
2 packs bacon
2 packs wildwest breakfast sausage
1 shoulder roast (pulled pork)
2 pack butt steaks (4 steaks total)
1 pack spare ribs
4 packs loin chops (8 chops total)
Approximately 37 pounds total

I also do have a full pig ready in the freezer and could divide in half if anyone was looking. There will be lots ready in 2-3 weeks as well.

SOLD! Taking orders though for early summer and lots for the fall!

We had someone not able to take a side of beef so have one available!

It’s at the butcher to cut tomorrow so still a chance to change the cutting instructions or to split into 1/4’s if you want to share with another family.

It’s a smaller side with a hanging weight of 295 pounds.
$7.00/LB based on that weight, includes all processing fees.

Happy cows made it out to grass today! Grateful for the little bit of rain we have had this spring and hoping the forecast is right and we get a bunch after the weekend!

The smoke has really settled in here today and our thoughts are with our friends and fellow ranchers effected by the wildfires in both BC and Alberta.

The hot, dry weather trend in the last few years has really stressed the pastures and crops across the west. The rising cost of equipment, land, fuel and other crop inputs add to an already extreme operating cost that farmers already face. All of this is leading farmers to plant less crops, sell cows and even completely disperse their herds.

If you like to eat food produced in your own area or even your own country then there is no better time to support your local farmers and ranchers!
