As a dividend income investor, my ultimate goal is simple: to generate a steady cash flow that can fully cover my monthly expenses. Since I’m no longer in my younger years, I knew I had to be intentional when I began investing last year. I asked myself an important question—should I focus on growth, or should I prioritize building income for early retirement?

That moment led me to discover dividend investing. From then on, my mission became clear: to create a reliable income stream that will allow me to retire comfortably by the age of 55.

If I can reach $400 or more in monthly dividend income within my first year, then scaling that to $4,000 per month over the next 10 years becomes an achievable goal. And with that level of passive income, I would have the financial freedom to support my lifestyle in retirement.

ECHI was officially launched and began trading on April 16th 2025. Although its new, I started to buy this ETF on Nov 2025 as I like their underlying holdings.

SUHI (Suncor): 9.5%
ENHI (Enbridge): 9.1%
SHHI (Shopify): 8.7%
BCHI (BCE): 8.7%
TDHI (TD Bank): 8.6%
CRHI (Canadian National Railway): 8.2%
RYHI (Royal Bank): 7.2%

NAV on inception date was 10$ per share and currently at 12.36$ with 12 month yeild of 9.73%. Curently paying out 15cents per share.
