We decided to cook a practice turkey on the smoker in preparation for next weekend. Turned out amazing.

I may have gone overboard when potting up my strawberry runners last month. I only need 20 of them right now. I've got over 100. Individual pots. Good root development

If anyone is interested in planting some strawberries, now is a great time to plant. Raised bed or in the ground. $2/ plant. Message if you're interested.

I absolutely LOVE the first day of a move for the pigs. Fresh grass and new spaces to explore.

The turkeys have migrated off pasture and into the freezer, in time for a thanksgiving feast. Sizes average about 24.5lbs. We have a few left looking for a freezer to call home. These monsters were grown out on pasture, where they could free range and forage in addition to a balanced feed. Processed, inspected and packaged at ‘Country Poultry Processing’. Pickup can be arranged at the farm. Message for more details or to arrange a purchase.

The girls are always excited for evening turn in. One of the best things about working with Kunes is their intelligence - they all self sort into the correct stalls.

They get close to an acre of grass field with shade trees for them to explore but this is where I find them if they have access to the barn paddock.

It’s not all fun and games on the farm, occasionally we have to focus on “keeping the lights on”
