A couple of weeks ago we asked for your favourite wing spots in the city. We got some great responses. Many of them are our favourites too, especially Iron Duke and The Loyal Oarsman.

This week we'd like to give a shoutout to some underrated wing destinations.

Rhodes Resto + Bar Kingston's Caesar garlic Parmesan is a group favourite. They also have a good deal on Mondays.

Mac n’ Wings might be the best chain in the city. Surprisingly fresh.

For a burger place, Burger 347 Kingston has no business making wings as good as they do.

If you're in Battersea, definitely try Creekside Bar & Grill. Great wings and vibes.

Some of you have told us that Raxx Billiards Bar & Grill hasn't been as good lately. You may be on to something.

The wings still had good texture and heat retention, we like some of their unique flavours, and their Wednesday deal is one of the best in the city, but the sizes were all over the place. They varied from big and hearty to did-this-even-come-from-a-chicken?

We still like Raxx, and we realize they're not the ones raising the chickens, but the wings shouldn't be the same size as your fork.

Things are expensive these days, so we're always on the lookout for wing deals. The Wednesday special at Portsmouth Tavern is good, but a bit complicated. The wings normally come with a side, but the special does not include them. You're paying half price for the wings, but extras like fries and dip cost extra.

Having said that, it's still a decent deal. Some places charge you over 20 bucks for wings with no side.

We generally like The Ports, partly for the food and partly for the vibes.

P.S. Never really appreciated that nice sign before.

The Merchant Tap House is the place to go if you like unbreaded/naked wings.

They've got a decent variety of flavours. The maple bacon smell usually stays on your hands until the next day (this is a good thing). They also know enough to not refer to their nuggets as "boneless wings".

The service was also very good. They even changed the music for us (this group doesn't generally care for country).

The Merchant has been pretty consistent over the years. Our only criticism is the same as last year; no side.

Apart from that, very respectable wings and venue.

The Brass Pub wings used to be pretty mediocre. They're one of the few places that actually got better post-COVID.

Not the best in town, but very solid. Good texture and heat retention, and a decent variety of flavours. They also come with a side of very tasty fries (if you look closely, you can see one being stolen).

Our only real criticism is they come very close to being oversauced.

Worth mentioning that their half price Tuesday special is tough to beat. We consider them tied with Raxx for the most bang-for-your-buck deal in the city.

We all love the Brew Pub. The wings are generally good, but we always want a little more from them.

There are some good flavours, but they are few (we're still waiting for the return of garlic parmesan). The wings stayed hot, but they were also a bit soggy. You can probably tell from the picture.

Points for including a side of fries. No one left hungry.

Overall, these wings are far from bad, but we know the Brew Pub can do better.

According to the owner of Stooleys, the record for most wings eaten there by a single person is eighty. We don't recommend trying to break this record, but we do recommend checking the place out.

Students are great, but there are a lot of them, which normally makes getting a table a bit of a challenge. If you're a townie who's been curious about Stooley's, summer is the time to finally give them a try. Good food, service, and vibes all around. Plus they have a wing special on Thursdays.

What you're seeing here is volcanic and butter chicken.

Last time we went to Copper Penny , they had skinny fries instead of their signature wide fries. Some sort of supplier issue. We were pleased to see the old fries have returned.

And they pair very well with the wings, which have great texture and heat retention. If you're looking for excessive spiciness, this may not be the place for you, but the flavours they do have are good. What you're seeing here is sweet & spicy Thai.

You may not think of wings when you think of Copper Penny, but they're definitely worth it, especially when paired with those wonderful fries. We left satisfied.

P.S. Each of our wing meals were served with exactly three wetnaps. All three were needed and used.

If you like the wings at the Duke, you'll like The Duchess Pub. Good texture, size, heat retention, and flavours. What you're seeing here is their Honey Sriracha. We also liked the Cola BBQ. Our only criticism is the price. Wings for $21 should come with a side (like the Duke).
