I just launched a website I have been working on, I am reaching out to all my beer drinking / travelling friends. I just launched www.BreweryFinder.ca it is the most complete brewery directory in Canada. Over 1500 breweries. I wanted to make a site that showcased local breweries and provide an opportunity for users to explore breweries during their travels.
There is a lot of information on the site but being a directory I have scraped as much data as I can on breweries, what I need now is -Breweries to claim their listing update the information / content, add in as much info as they can for their brewery. - Users to test out the search features, make sure breweries are where they say they are, find breweries that are closing or launching, leave reviews, post to socials and tag breweries.
I want to stress test the build two see where I need to make improvements, fixes or changes in features people find useful. I have a fun community section where users register and become part of a community, earn points, badges for leaving reviews, finding bugs etc. If a particular user is a blogger and is looking for some exposure to their work they can have a guest blogger spot, breweries that like to post/blog can also have access to posting content with links back to their brewery/brewery listing.
The site has an Events page where I will list as many brewery related events across Canada as I can, each brewery listing also has the opportunity to list their brewery events on their listing page.
I have started a blog, and a guides page, and soon to add a news page/feed
For the travellers out there I have a Travel Brews section where community members can post / share breweries from around the world. While your out exploring you can add a “Travel Brew” quick and easy to submit, I will review it and add the brewery to the travel brews section, along with a citation as to who added the brewery and you will be awarded points / badges in the community area.
I hope to grow the site to the point where I will be able to reward users in some way, I’m still working on that.
Future features / in the works.
Adding Ai to the site so users can type/speak to the Breweryfinder ai and ask questions like.
-I need to find a brewery with in 30 mins of where I am, it needs to offer up non alcoholic options, family and pet friendly with a patio that serves food. And the ai will recommend breweries that fit your query, give you locations, and directions to get their taking into consideration date/time/weather etc.
-I will be travelling to Penticton on July 1st 2026, with three other people we would like to do a walking brewery tour, starting between 1-2pm and would like to stop at 3-4 breweries, we would like to eat at the last brewery, we need gluten free food options, and we will be walking from the Penticton Lakeside Resort.
The Ai will develop a brewery tour, on your needs, give you a map/distances/time to walk between breweries/weather considerations and a link to share with others in your group, as you visit the brewery the brewery is then checked off your route, everyone in the group can see where/what stop your tour is at incase someone joins later.
These are just what I have planned so far, I would like / appreciate any feed back and thoughts.
