Opportunity
Gateway Livestock Exchange requires a hardworking, details oriented, team player to fill the following position in our Taber, AB office.
Inventory/Production Coordinator
This full-time position will work directly with the General Manager and the Senior Inventory/Production Coordinator providing support to area feedlots and ranches within a designated region. Duties will include coordinating livestock shipments, managing cattle inventory and monitoring animal health programs while creating and developing new client relationships. This position requires a high level of interaction with other Gateway Livestock team members and with various groups in the communities where Gateway Livestock services are offered.
Responsibilities
• Ensuring exceptional end-to-end operational service to customers which includes coordinating and executing the shipping, delivery and invoicing of livestock.
• Offering appropriate marketing services to customers by monitoring the customer needs as it relates to animal health programs, technology and other related areas.
• Collaborating with Senior Sales Representatives to manage existing customer relationships and develop new sales and marketing opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications
• College or University diploma in a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience working within the Livestock industry.
• Strong desire to learn.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willing to travel and work in unusual conditions and in adverse weather.
• Strong computer and time management skills
• Combination of education, training and/or related industry experience will be considered for this position.
