A little information (side note …the tub in this video is NOT a livestock lix tub )
Just because the protein is high doesn’t mean it’s the right kind of protein …. Reading labels is important. The protein in Livestock Lix tubs is not from urea

Another load of tubs has arrived

This tub contains high levels of vitamins and minerals and the addition of Flaxseed.
A study conducted at Kansas State University using flaxseed and flaxseed oil as the fatty acid source to breeding bulls showed 9% greater s***m motility and 21% more normal s***m than an un-supplemented control group. On the female side, flax supplementation has shown efficacy in quicker breed back after calving.

This low cost/low consumption tub is great for before calving.
Continuing drought conditions have reduced the vitamins and minerals in our feed and can result in things like retained placenta and weak calves among many other things. Making sure cows are supplemented with adequate vitamins and minerals is just as important as adequate protein and energy
