I teach my dogs to be tied up while I train and this promotes discipline, calmness and relaxation.

I still stand behind my belief in the most important part of my stock dog's training and here's why.

If your dog can't move the livestock properly without injuring them, you don't have a trained dog.

When your dog struggles to hold two groups of sheep apart, this is one exercise I do to build confidence.

We’re back from the Western Canadian Championship!

I was thoroughly happy with all three of my dogs.

Ted has stepped up into the Open Class and showed me he has the potential to become a solid team member! He was sitting on the bubble for the double lift right up to the end!

Annie worked hard and I know the homework we will do this winter. Shea blast to run.

Sommer Sam - my boy was 2nd for Open 2, squeaked into the Double Lift and had a brilliant turn back. Unfortunately, I couldn’t pick out two little lambs in the shed.

The set out cowboy, Peter LaRue, selected Sam has the best overall lift for the trial for the Cowboy’s choice award. This one means so much to me!
Sam was also the top dog from British Columbia at the trial.

My field trials are now over for the year and we head back to training for the winter!
