The Egyptian walking onions were harvested today!

These are one of my favourites to grow. They are so unique and no two tops are ever the same. I like to use the tiny top setting onions in soups and stews. I pick a few of the stalks in the spring to eat before they get too tough. These also make a unique piece in an ornamental garden.

Price this year is $10 for 4 clusters. I can deliver to Stettler/Bashaw/Camrose.

Starting to teach the kids all about garlic. My son is 9 and was so proud to dig up this young garlic with a broad fork. We sell these for $2 a bag, (just in our local market, sorry). But these can be sold at some inner-city farmers markets for upwards of $5 a dozen. Chef’s that know…know 😉
