My question is about immigration policy and labour market priorities. With recent Express Entry trends, many skilled workers with Canadian education, corporate experience, and CRS scores above 500 are still waiting, while some category-based pathways have invited candidates at much lower scores.

Do you think Canada is striking the right balance between language priorities and workforce needs? Should more weight be given to Canadian work experience and in-demand professional skills, or is the current approach the right one for the country’s long-term goals?

This isn’t about English vs French. It’s about understanding how Canada can attract and retain the talent it needs while keeping the immigration system fair, transparent, and aligned with labour market demands.

For the first time ever, Canada has hosted a FIFA World Cup match, and the atmosphere across the country was incredible. From packed fan zones to celebrations in the streets, Canadians showed their passion for the beautiful game.

Canada battled hard and earned a 1-1 result, but tonight was about much more than the score. It was about bringing the world together, showcasing our country, and creating memories that fans will never forget.

🚨 COMMUNITY SAFETY & PARENT AWARENESS 🚨

A recent Durham Region investigation has raised important conversations about online safety, parental awareness, and protecting young people in the digital age.

According to police, a Durham College employee has been charged with multiple offences related to an online luring investigation. Police also released information they believe may help identify additional victims or witnesses.

It is important to remember that these are criminal charges and allegations. The accused has been charged but has NOT been convicted, and the case remains before the courts.

Beyond this specific case, it serves as a reminder for parents and guardians to have open conversations with their children about online safety, social media use, privacy settings, and reporting suspicious behaviour.

Community safety is everyone’s responsibility. Awareness, communication, and education remain some of the strongest tools we have to protect vulnerable people online.
