Sunday Farmers Market might be done for the season, but you can still find us around town.  Here’s where you can catch us this holiday season.

Stone Soup - Come have a soup with us this Saturday, November 15, at the Crystal Palace. This community event is hosted by the Picton Farmers Market team, with some all star chefs preparing soup made from local farms, and will be a great chance for us to have a meal together while we’re not working a stall.  Tickets available in link in bio or at the door.

Harvest Market - Find us in two spots the next day, Sunday, November 16 at the Crystal Palace again. Our crew will be inside with veggies, and we’ll be outside serving up some warm soup and dumplings.  Last chance for cold sweetened bok choy, super tasty Taiwanese cabbages, and tons of other veggies.

Very Milford Christmas - Your favourite Milford based vendors will be opening their doors for a very special circuit of vendors on Saturday, December 6th.  Find us at our farm store for a quick bite, some dumplings, and we’ll be hosting a variety of goods from other Asian creators from around the county.

The Decanter Christmas Market -  If you can’t make it to Milford, we’ll also be at Decanter for their annual Christmas Market on Saturday, November 6th.

Busy Hands Kitchen - Get some Christmas shopping done, and enjoy a nice warm meal while you’re at it!  We’ll be manning the kitchen this year, and we’ll have some frozen meals to fill your freezer as well!  Find us at the Wellington Arena on Saturday, December 13th.

Our Brassicas are still doing quite well! We just took off the insect netting, and what a joy it is to see them in their full beauty! We will have lots of Asian veggies at the Harvest Market November 16, Crystal Palace.

The crew took a break from the field (and rain) and we processed all of our field tomatoes! What a monstrous task for newbie canners, like ourselves. I’ve always been afraid of canning, but through many conversations with other canners and with the right equipment (Thanks Bree), taking on nearly 4 bushels was a success!

Looking forward to enjoying these in the off season.

Well, that was a long season. A long winter, cold snaps when we needed warmth, drought when we needed rain, heat that scorched what the drought didn’t take, then more drought.
But we didn’t face it alone.

Last Sunday, we gathered. Farmers, foragers, hunters, and anglers cooked what we managed to grow, catch, and find over open fires. We filled a pantry, shared tools, and turned a hard season’s harvest into a feast.

The food was amazing, and the company, even better.

Thank you to everyone who made this happen. To our fellow farmers who showed up with vegetables that made it through a tough season. To the anglers and hunters who brought protein. To the foragers who knew where to look. To everyone who prepped, cooked, and shared their skills at the fire. And to the many hands who set up the space and made it feel magical.

We experienced this season together. It felt right to feast together too.

Here’s to community and to next season.
