Crimewave and Licorice Fox.
A Time of Reflection
As Robyn Hoover said “What dreams are made of…”
It started when I bred a little black mare to a son of First Down Dash to raise a barrel horse. Foxy Crime was the result. I met Maxine Mckenna through my race trainer, Marlon Draper, and when one November day, I showed her a little three year old black mare, we became partners. The following April she made the short go in Brooks. With you Max, I learned so much, thank you! We did up Foxy, Ophra, Rocky, my beloved Prize and Felon who as a group ended up with a Canadian High Point Futurity Championship, two Reserve Championships and Pro Rodeo wins. What dreams are made of…
Foxy Crime went on to Traci Dawson MacDonald who qualified her 7th in the world for the NFR, two Canadian High Point Derby Championships, and two “Horse with the Most Heart” awards and today is running wonderful offspring out of her. What dreams are made of…
Randa Nugent did up Foxy Rose Bug (yes Gayle, that is her name) the inaugural winner of the CBHI Super Stakes. Randa was named “Cowgirl of the Year.” What dreams are made of…
Randa also did Winston Crime for Monica and I. He was sold to the United States where he ended up with a wonderful hand, Britni Carlson. She made him a Columbia River Circuit champion and he became her heart horse. What dreams are made of….
A little girl of ten years old came to the farm with her mom and dad. She wanted to buy a barrel prospect she could grow up with. I picked out a yearling filly for Nicole Pana that she named “Dreamer” and the rest is history. What dreams are made of…
I sent two horses to Arizona with a young girl just graduated from high school, KC Peters. Who doesn’t remember Moose and KC. Some wonderful times! What dreams are made of…
Buffy Romeo and April Williamson took a five year old mare named Waves aka Waveonthewayby to the 2018 SBRA finals and they won everything in sight. What dreams are made of…
And now Robyn Hoover and Rumour are having a wonderful season with great success! What dreams are made of…
When I was twelve years, I had a palomino gelding – Ranger – that I loved dearly. We had no pasture or barn for him so I sold him when I was 14 to a cowboy but decided that some day when I could afford it, I was going to raise a few good horses. I would like to thank each and every one of these girls, and many others, for all their hard work in achieving the successes they have. You have made this man’s dreams come true.
