At PEI Mussel King we pride ourselves on the care we take in acting as stewards of our space. Sometimes this means taking ownership of problems that we did not create, for the benefit of the environment and community. From time to time you will see our crews undertaking shoreline and roadside garbage collection excursions. The photo below is of part of the 4 cubic meters of garbage our crews in Englishtown, Cape Breton collected from the roadside near our facility. 20 person-hours were invested in this undertaking - a small price to pay for helping our local environment and community!

Steven Joseph Francis Thompson
1989-2020

On July 05, a tragic car accident claimed the life of Steven Thompson. Steven was a long time employee of PEI Mussel Farms and captain of the vessel No Ordinary Joe.
Our heartfelt sympathies are extended to Frankie & Louise on the loss of their son, and to Theresa, Steven’s sister.
