Last, but certainly not least, we'd like to recognize the three people who inspire everything we do—our children, Ava, Colton, and Georgia.
They are the heart and soul behind Bannister Family Orchard and the reason we continue to dream, work, and grow. They've spent countless weekends, long days, and late nights alongside us, sacrificing family time so we could build something meaningful together.
Everything we do is with them in mind. We hope that one day this orchard becomes a legacy they are proud of and, if they choose, one they will continue for generations to come.
Through this journey, our children have learned the value of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and what it truly means to build and operate a family business. They've watched firsthand that success doesn't come easy—it comes from early mornings, late nights, determination, and never giving up.
While we're teaching them about farming, they've taught us just as much about love, laughter, patience, and what really matters in life.
To Ava, Colton, and Georgia—thank you for believing in us, for helping whenever we ask, for cheering us on, and for growing alongside this orchard. You are our greatest accomplishment, our greatest joy, and the reason behind every tree we plant and every dream we chase.
We love you more than words can ever express. ♥️

Next, we'd like to recognize someone who means the world to us—my Uncle Bruce McCauley
Bruce is well known throughout the community for his more than 60 years as the owner and operator of McCauley Well Drilling, as well as his years behind the wheel for TJ's Haulage. Around Bannister Family Orchard, though, he's our "jack of all trades."
From planting our very first apple trees to driving the tractor during harvest, Bruce is always there whenever we need him. If something needs fixing, building, or figuring out, he's the first person we call—and somehow, he always knows exactly what to do.
Bruce isn't just a huge part of our orchard; he's a huge part of our family. He helped raise me from the time I was 19 years old, and the knowledge, work ethic, and life lessons he's shared with me over the years are beyond measure. Every day we learn something new from him.
There simply aren't enough words to thank Bruce for everything he has done and continues to do for Bannister Family Orchard. His dedication, wisdom, and unwavering support have helped shape this orchard into what it is today. We truly couldn't do it without him.
Thank you, Uncle Bruce, for always showing up, lending a hand, and believing in us. We love and appreciate you more than words can say.

Although a relatively new business, custom stitches apparel is already making a name for itself in the Arthur area and beyond. Angela has taken on this venture with passion and dedication, and it is exciting to see her business growing and thriving.
Angela specializes in high-quality embroidered apparel for sports teams, businesses, and custom orders. This past winter, she created embroidered Bannister Family Orchard toques featuring our logo, and we couldn't have been happier with the results. The workmanship was exceptional, and the finished products looked fantastic.

Next up this amazing organization CNT
Cambridge Neighbourhood Table (CNT) is a community meal and connection program that brings people together through free, welcoming dinners held across Cambridge. More than just a meal, CNT creates opportunities for neighbours to connect, build relationships, access community resources, and reduce social isolation.
Each week, CNT serves hundreds of community members of all ages, including families, seniors, newcomers, individuals experiencing food insecurity, and people seeking connection and belonging. There meals are supported by an incredible network of volunteers, community organizations, businesses, faith groups, and donors who help make this work possible.

In 2025, CNT served thousands of meals across multiple neighbourhood locations in Cambridge, creating spaces where everyone is welcome at the table. Beyond food, guests can access information about local services, participate in community activities, and develop meaningful relationships with fellow community members and volunteers.
We are incredibly grateful to CNT for the important work they do in building a stronger, more connected community. Their commitment to ensuring everyone has a place at the table is truly inspiring.
It was an honour for Bannister Family Orchard Cider to be a small part of these gatherings by having our cider for there holiday meals. Knowing that our cider helped bring a little extra warmth and joy to so many people made it especially meaningful for our family.

Today, we'd like to recognize someone who has become an invaluable part of our family and our farm—Cassey.
To say that Cassey is my right-hand person would be an understatement. I truly don't know how I would manage without her. She has played a huge role in helping our small farm grow and flourish.
One of Cassey's greatest passions is incubating and hatching eggs. I still remember when she told me she would help turn my little farm into a "funny farm." Since then, we've welcomed chickens, ducks, Silkies, and who knows what might come next! Knowing Cassey's love for animals, I'm sure there will be more birds to hatch and rescue animals to care for in the future.
Beyond her love of animals, Cassey has been an incredible support behind the scenes at Bannister Family Orchard. Whether it's tackling a large project or helping with the smallest details, she is always willing to jump in headfirst and lend a hand. Every challenge is met with a smile and a positive attitude.
From creating flyers, business cards, and colouring sheets to helping solve countless computer and technical issues, she is often the person working quietly behind the scenes to help keep things running smoothly. I know I can always count on her, no matter what needs to be done.
As we prepare for another season and our upcoming U-Pick events, I know Cassey will be right there beside us, helping wherever she is needed and making sure everything runs smoothly.
Cassey is a truly remarkable person whose kindness, generosity, and dedication touch everyone around her. She is loved by many, but especially by our family. We are incredibly grateful for everything she does and for the friendship, support, and laughter she brings to our lives.
