We cooked one of our birds last night to enjoy with friends and it turned out absolutely amazing. So flavourful, fall apart tender, incredibly juicy, with the most perfect golden skin. We couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out!

And that's a wrap on calving season. 🤎
What a season it's been!

After an 8-month-long calving season (thanks to our bull for taking his sweet time 😅), we've officially welcomed our last calf and can finally say we're done.
This year didn't quite go as planned, so we've made the decision to hold back 8 of our mama cows from calving next year to help get our herd back on track.
The busy days got away from us, and we never had the chance to properly introduce all of our newest arrivals. So, here they are! ❤️

🐮 Hydro — out of Heidi
🐮 Nina — out of Karma
🐮 Oswald — out of Phoebe
🐮 Timmy — out of Deadpool
🐮 Uno — out of Izzy
🐮 Waylon — out of Elsa
🐮 Amber — out of Honey
🐮 F***y — out of Annie
🐮 Polly — out of Presley*
🐮 Juno — out of April*
🐮 June — out of Blizzard*
🐮 Porter — out of Poppy
🐮 Archie — out of White Annie*
🐮 Jessie — out of Jamie
🐮 Jake — out of Jackie*
🐮 Peach — out of Penelope

And there they are — 16 new arrivals that we somehow never got around to properly introducing!
Thank you to everyone who has followed along, and supported our farm through another wild calving season. We're more than ready for a little break before we do it all over again!
Here's hoping next year's calving season is a whole lot shorter!

And that's a wrap on hay season. 🌾

After a lot of long days, late nights, and keeping an eye on the weather, we officially finished bringing in 1,781 bales.
The cows will be well fed through the fall and winter, and we can finally take a deep breath... at least until the next season begins!
