Holden Lake Farm and Garden is opening applications for local vendors to join our 1st Country Market this holiday season, taking place inside our garden centre space at 2257 Yellowpoint Road, Nanaimo, BC. Vendors can apply for one day or multiple days — whatever fits your business.

🇨🇦 A pretty exciting thing is happening at Holden Lake Farm…

We are incredibly proud to share that Holden Lake Farm has been selected to be featured as part of Farm Credit Canada "Let's Grow Canada" documentary storytelling project.

So… what exactly is Let's Grow Canada?

Launched by Farm Credit Canada (FCC), Let's Grow Canada is a national movement created to strengthen the connection between Canadians and the people behind our agriculture and food system.

It's about telling the stories of the farmers, growers, producers and communities who help feed Canada — and giving Canadians a closer look at what agriculture really looks like today.

And somehow, that story has brought them all the way to our little corner of Vancouver Island. YAY! 🌱

For us, farming has never just been about what comes out of the ground.

It's about the people who grow it.

The people who work behind the scenes.

The customers who choose local.

The experiments that work — and the ones that don't.

The early mornings, changing seasons, greenhouses, strawberries, vegetables, flowers, farm store, workshops and thousands of small decisions that eventually become something you can put on your table or plant in your garden.

That's the part of agriculture we love.

And we're incredibly honoured that Holden Lake Farm was chosen as one of the places helping tell Canada's agricultural story.
