The large tomatoes are starting to blush and you will find some beautiful heirloom varieties every day. The snack-worthy cherry tomatoes are also ripe and ready!

Meet Georgie, the Rat Terrier and newest family member and farm worker!

Her first full day on the farm had her helping out in the strawberry field. A few days ago she came up to me in the blueberry patch with this big, juicy rat in her maw! I suspect my Karelian Bear Dog Juno did the hard work, but Georgie's instincts took over.

Still too young to hunt but definitely feeling the drive!

After 35 days, my sweet Thelma hatched out four little ducklings!

We had decided "no more babies" this year. However, Thelma was a special case. When she was born two years ago with her sibling 'Louise', a tragedy occurred. The ducklings somehow made it up into the pool and they could not get out. I found little Thelma, chirping sadly and almost ready to go under, while her sister Louise had drowned. It was heartbreaking.

I quickly got Thelma under my breast and then set up the heatlamp and a box for her. Jim did cpr on little Louise, but to no avail. It was devastating. Little ducklings do not have the oil in their feathers to protect them from the chill of the water.

Thankfully our little Thelma warmed up and grew up to be a healthy happy duck. Now, a momma!

The blueberry bushes are ready to burst with color!

This is the earliest ripening yet. Last year we had blueberries in the Honor Fridge on June 28. I have a feeling they will make an appearance in the next few days!🫐💙

When the fireworks go off or the thunder rumbles...this follows.

Willow and Juno blasted through the piggy's doggydoor and ended up on the loveseat, panting and shaking. Dolly was not impressed.

This year is worse than ever. Gunshots, loud roaring vehicles and revving engines are setting them off.
