Early in our recipe development process our brother said "too sweet, not enough nuts" so we took his feedback and loaded our granola with nuts and seeds.

Not only does it taste great but it means our granola has more protein and dietary fiber than the big brands.

We've been doing a deep dive into our macros compared with the big brands. Look out for more soon if you want to get nerdy about nutrition!

This month marks two years since Mountain Oats appeared as an idea in our heads.

It was smoky then too and our mom and other family were all evacuated because wildfire was threatening the community of Argenta. The idea came about because we wanted to have something nourishing, tasty and quick on hand and we were disappointed by what was available in grocery stores.

Two years later and we make granola that's available in grocery stores!!!

Thank you to everyone who has taste tested, given a bag to a friend, said hi at a market. You all are why we do it. And thank you to our families and friends for all your support and encouragement. Here's to many more years of slinging granola!!
